BHR SHake to win

Gridiron Futurity Stallion Story:

BHR SHAKE TO WIN. Those breeders that bring 2 stallions to me are very special, and Jim and Sharon Wright of Diamond Bar Quarter Horses out of Parade, SD are one of them. Jim, Sharon and their family raise their horses in the hills giving them the opportunity to develop good bone and quick feet. There’s nothing like a big open pasture to produce a solid bodied colt. The Wrights have been raising good horses for as long as they can remember and know a good one when they sees him. That’s how they felt about BHR Shake To Win when he walked in the sale ring at the Dakota Breeder’s Quarter Horse Sale in Mobridge as a weanling. BHR Shake To Win is by the Pederson’s great stallion, BHR Super Frost (Frenchmans Guy) and out of BHR Special Shake Up (Shake It Special). He carries those genetics with pride in his palomino color and huge hip. Sharon said he was a piece of cake to start; no offer to buck and a general willingness to do whatever was asked of him. Personally, I think all the care that the Wrights put into their horses, handling them daily, makes for an easy-to-start horse, though his superior genetics certainly contribute as well. The Wrights use their horses every day of the year, from spring calving to checking cows in the winter. If they need to cover country, they saddle up a horses. BHR Shake To Win has to earn his keep just like the rest and the Wrights use him to calve on and check pastures before turning him out with his mares. BHR Shake To Win took to the Hot Heels like a duck to water and was scheduled to hit the barrel pen before life, in the form of a grand baby, delighted the Wrights. BHR Shake To Win’s oldest colts are 3 this year and ready to be started. I’m including some pics of them so you can see the kind of quality this young stallion is siring. You’ve got a couple of options here. You can breed to BHR Shake To Win or you can contact Sharon and buy one they already have on the ground.
